The BBC have announced transmission dates for Village SOS – a new series over 6 weeks starting on Wednesday Aug 10th at 8pm . Our involvement with Taste Tideswell and The Tideswell School of Foodwill be told in the 5th programme in the series- due to air on Weds Sept 7th at 8pm BBC One. 1st July 2011 BBC Programme due to air end of July

We are delighted to have been the Architects for the Tidewell School of Food project which opened its doors for trading at the very start of 2011. Following a very tight building schedule closely followed by the BBC filming the entire process, this £400k Lottery Funded project has been heralded as ‘exemplary good practice’ by the Lottery, delivering an exciting , complex project on time and on budget . BBC editing has now nearly been completed and the tv programme telling the story of the coming into being of the Tideswell School of Food is due to air at the end of July / early august – details to be announced shortly.

29th June 2011 Brimington Surgery now open

A momentous occaision this week was the opening of a major extension to Brimington Doctors Surgery to become a Teaching Practice. Probably one of the most challenging projects in a long while was the 3 storey addition of 5 new consulting rooms, minor operations room , sluice and staff training rooms whilst the existing surgery remained fully operational . To make matters even more interesting, there was no space on site for the storage of materials, site cabins or cranes and every square inch of the site has been built upon .

A real credit to the Contractor Robert Woodhead Ltd for working in with the Practice to forward plan and minimise times of disruption. The project was delivered on time and on budget to a very exacting schedule and we were delighted to have acted for the Doctors at Brimington
